Repeat Prescriptions
TESCO PHARMACY ARE NOT CURRENTLY COLLECTING REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS - When requesting your repeat please advise if you wish to use an alternative chemist or collect from the surgery
Please place your order a week before you run out.
ALL PRESCRIPTIONS TO BE COLLECTED DIRECT FROM CHEMISTS
***We will not re-issue medication over one week in advance or any other early requests***
How To Get A Repeat Prescription
- Online – following the link at the top of this page and carrying out a simple registration
- In person
- By post - Post it to us. If you include a stamped addressed envelope we will post your prescription back to you. Or the prescription will be available from reception or your pharmacy.
- ONLY TELEPHONE REQUESTS FROM HOUSEBOUND PATIENTS WILL BE TAKEN
Your prescription will be ready for collection from reception after 2 working days or 3 working days from your Chemist.
Please write your preferred chemist on the re-order form.
Problems Or Questions
If you need to speak to someone about your prescription, please book a ‘phone appointment with your Doctor. Your local pharmacist can also advise on what your medications are for and how best to take them.
Urgent Prescriptions
If you have run out of your medicines and have been told to not stop your medication without consulting a Doctor, you can go to your local pharmacy and request a small supply of your medication to tie you over until we can get a new prescription done, even if we are open. Please note we cannot fax these to chemists.
We ask that you do not phone the surgery to see if your prescription is ready. All prescriptions will be ready to collect after the 2/3 working day period mentioned above. Our receptionists are very busy and our lines need to stay clear for emergencies, if you do need to phone us about your prescription please call after 10am.
If for any reason you are no longer registered with the Surgery, you or your family members may still receive a reminder to order your prescription. You can turn this off by logging into your account and remove the reminder setting.
Please be patient with our staff while we deal with your request.
